A former Boise IRS agent has been sentenced for dealing meth.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, 43-year-old David Rose was sentenced last week in federal court to two years in prison followed by four years of supervised release for distributing meth.

According to court records, Rose distributed 37 grams of meth to a confidential informant on two separate occasions in December of 2016.

This case was the result of a joint investigation by the Boise Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Force.
