Boise girl dedicated to cleaning up litter on the Greenbelt

5-year-old London Winner is doing her part to beautify Boise.

BOISE - At just five years old, London Winner is proving that you are never too young to give back to your community.

She's doing her part to beautify Boise.

"Me and mommy like the Greenbelt," London explained. "I like to say 'hi' to people and mommy does too."

She loves to walk - and ride - along the Boise River Greenbelt.

"We see ducks and birds and we saw deers, and even a beaver dam," she said.

What she also sees, is a lot of trash.

"We saw some trash by the river, papers and cans and trash and stuff," London said. "We were trying to collect the garbage."

But that wasn't always easy to do with her bare hands. She found glass bottles and cans, so her mom bought her a picker-upper for picking up trash.

That way she doesn't have to get her little hands dirty.

Her mom couldn't be more proud.

"Extremely important to be able to raise our future generations to give back," Chantayn Winner said.

So, you may just spot this little lady with her trusty picker-upper, picking up along the Greenbelt.

"Shes a community helper, she's doing her job to pick up trash," Chantayn said. "It makes me feel a lot of pride as a parent that a five-year-old gets that."
