PYEONGCHANG - Rigby-native Jessika Jenson pulled out a great run in difficult conditions, and was in medal contention through most of the women's snowboard slopestyle finals Monday in PyeongChang.
Jenson's first run scored 72.26, good enough for fourth place. American Jamie Anderson, took home gold with a score of 83.00. Laurie Blouin of Canada won silver, and Enni Rukajarvi of Finland won bronze.
After her first run, Jenson was in first place until Anderson took her first run. Jenson remained in the top three through much of the second round when Blouin landed in second place and bumped Jenson out of medal contention.
Windy conditions throughout the day added a level of difficulty to the competition, with many riders struggling to land their jumps.
Anderson, who also topped the podium in Sochi, now has two-consecutive gold medals in the women's slopestyle.
