BOISE, Idaho — The Filipino American Association of Idaho hosted the Fil-Am Heritage Celebration, highlighting culture and community.
The event showcased a variety of performances and food. Organizers are creating a way to share the culture and traditions of the Filipino culture.
Filipino American History Month has been celebrated in the US since 1992. It is meant to commemorate the month, October, the first Filipinos landed on the continent in 1587 and to honor the culture, heritage and history of Filipino Americans.
