BOISE, Idaho — "Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light," said Albus Dumbledore. If you love the Harry Potter series, or know someone who does, some happiness could be found at the city of Boise's Wizard Encounter at the Boise Depot.
The free family friendly event unfortunately won't have an express train to Hogwarts, but people can meet some of their favorite witches and wizards, get their face painted for free, enjoy different vendors snacks, tour the depot and more. The event is on Oct. 20 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Guides of the depot will run from noon to 1:30 p.m. and people can take photos with their favorite characters from noon to 4:00 p.m.
The city encourages people to dress up and have a spooky fun time, and maybe; "solemnly swear I am up to no good."
