Hear ye, hear ye: Tis time to dine upon turkey legs, wear costumes and behold a joust

As Shakespeare wrote, "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players." The Idaho Renaissance Faire gives people a chance to really play a part.

BOISE, Idaho — Ad fontes, (back to the sources) was the motto of the Renaissance. People can relive the idea, not only in body, but also in costume, at the Idaho Renaissance Faire.

"Cometh one, cometh all… Come ye and waer my bonnie lass and chivalrous lad… YES THEE! Let live thy heart desires in our world, the world of days olde, of days past, but the world of timeless beauty and ageless delight," states the website.

The event is at Expo Idaho Fairgrounds on two weekends, Sept. 28, 29, and Oct. 5,6 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.

People can eat snacks, see performers, listen to music, peruse vendors, mingle with the Faire King and Queen and even watch sword fighting and a joust.

People can get more information and buy tickets here, kids under 8 are free.
