BOISE, Idaho — Fans who snapped up tickets to Garth Brooks' July 19 concert at Albertsons Stadium are in for a treat.
Brooks' team announced Wednesday that he will sing a duet with fellow country music star Blake Shelton at the Friday show. Their performance of the new track “Dive Bar” will be the first time concertgoers will get to hear the song performed live.
"There was a situation that happened at Boise State in Idaho where we were lucky enough to sell the show out," Brooks said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. "The governor called and asked for a second show and now there's a show before on Friday. Blake's open so he's gonna fly in and all I can say to anyone going to the Friday show get ready cause we're gonna make history. We're gonna make audio of it, we're gonna film it and its gonna be a party."
A press release from Brooks did not specify whether that performance would be repeated at the Saturday, July 20 concert in Boise.
Tickets for the Saturday show sold out in less than an hour. Tickets for the Friday show, which was added afterward, remain available on the Ticketmaster website.
