BOISE, Idaho — Art Zone 208 is an art cooperative consisting of 42 members. Owner Deb Barger says she created the group to give local artists a home to display their creations and make them available to the residence of Boise’s West Side.
Numerous art forms fill the space. “We have ceramics, water color, mosaics, wood carving, fiber art, beading and so much more,” explained Barger.
Even Boise State has a presence in the space. “We have John Killmaster who is a very prolific artist. People are very fortunate to have him local to take classes from him. We also have Dr. Louis Peck, Jr. His daughter is selling his art work here. They have just started a legacy project for him so that he will not be forgotten,” informed Barger.
Art Zone 208 is not only about celebrating local artist, but also teaching art to the community. They offer many opportunities to craft your skills which can be found on Art Zone 208’s Facebook.
