EAGLE, Idaho — Super Bowl 54 is on Sunday, Feb. 2. We caught up with a few Super Bowl superfans ahead of the big game.
Scott Parsons of Eagle says he fell in love with the San Francisco 49ers when he started going to games as a young boy with his grandfather.
He jokingly describes his passion for the team as a sickness, calling it a "family trait."
Parsons says growing up Sundays were "go to church, go to breakfast, go to the game."
He has an impressive collection of memorabilia including jerseys signed by former 49ers defensive back Eric Wright and linebacker Patrick Willis and a football signed by 49ers greats Joe Montana and Jerry Rice.
Scott admits to having some superstitions and Game Day rules for watching the game on TV.
His wife and daughter even made a sign that lists the rules. It's titled "Daddy's Rules" and includes things such as "No talking during a play," "No touching the merchandise" because that could be bad mojo. "No rooting for the other team," "No negative comments" and "Must wear fan gear." It's all in fun, of course.
He says he didn't even realize he had some of the rules until his wife and daughter gave the sign to him.
Scott didn't predict a final score, but he believes the 49ers will win by a field goal.
