KTVB Kitchen: How to make a sausage pepper and onion dish

Chef Yvonne Anderson shows how to make a hearty meal for the fall season.

BOISE, Idaho — Ingredients:

1 onion large

2 bell peppers

1 lb of sausage links, or bulk

4 cups of cooked rice, white or brown

Olive oil

Butter

Salt, pepper,

Garlic

Red pepper flakes

Bullion- optional

Soy sauce- optional

Directions:

Sauté sausage until partially cooked. 

Add peppers, onions, olive oil, butter and seasonings to taste. 

Cook for three minutes or until veggies are softened and sausage is cooked through.

Serve on a toasted bun, over rice, or mashed potatoes.
