NAMPA, Idaho — The Snake River Stampede, dubbed "The wildest, fastest show on earth," starts on Wednesday and festivities for the rodeo kicked off on Monday with the annual Buckaroo Breakfast.
For five dollars, attendees were treated to a complete breakfast of pancakes, eggs, juice and coffee.
Nampa Mayor Debbie King says the kickoff breakfast always creates excitement for the week-long rodeo.
"It creates community pride, there's a wonderful economic impact," she said. "I'm proud of our Snake River Stampede Rodeo, 104 years, one of the top five in the nation, which is awesome. Not only is it great for the people coming to watch but for the contestants, it's a great rodeo that we put on."
Proceeds from Monday's breakfast will benefit the 4H Clubs of Canyon County and Kuna.
