CUSTER COUNTY -- The Custer County Sheriff's Office confirms the body of 25-year-old Luke Richardson has been found.
In a press released issued Thursday, the sheriff's office says the Sawtooth Mountain Guides located the body on a technical section of rock on a ridge of Devil's Bedstead.
Richardson was reported missing on Sept. 14 after not returning from a climbing trip.
Crews searched for Richardson for days and asked anyone who had hiked in that area if they had seen him.
The Custer and Blaine County Sheriff's Offices concluded their search operations on Sept. 21.
Richardson's family continued to look for him and hired the Sawtooth Mountain Guides who found his body.
The cause of death is still under investigation.
