Body of missing North Idaho woman found in Snake River

19-year-old Elizabeth Krueger disappeared while camping with friends along the river in eastern Washington.

BUFFALO EDDY, Wash. — The Nez Perce County Dive Team located the body of 19-year-old Elizabeth Krueger Friday morning.

According to officials, the body was located in approximately 25 feet of water on the Idaho side of Buffalo Eddy.

Krueger went missing Thursday morning while camping with friends in the Buffalo Eddy area in Asotin County, Wash.

The body was taken to Spokane for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Officials said they suspect no foul play.

A 19-year-old woman was reported missing Thursday after she disappeared while camping with her friends in the Buffalo Eddy area in Asotin County.

According to the Asotin County Sheriff, Elizabeth Krueger was camping with a group of friends by Snake River. When her friends woke up Thursday morning, they said she was missing and contacted officials at 10:45 a.m.

Authorities said Krueger was last seen at 3:00 a.m. Thursday, intoxicated and laying down outside of her tent.

Krueger's cell phone and belongings were found at the campground.

Multiple agencies including the Asotin County Fire Marine 61, Washington Fish and Wildlife, and Asotin County Search and Rescue have been searching for Krueger since Thursday morning. Rescue teams are back on the scene Friday, continuing their search.
