BOISE, Idaho — It can cause delays. It can be dusty and dirty. It can even damage your windshield.
We're talking about chip sealing.
The Ada County Highway District says chip-sealing season got underway Tuesday.
ACHD says nearly 450 miles of roadway will be resurfaced this summer.
Every year, ACHD divides the county into six zones for chip-sealing projects.
This year, various roads between Five Mile and McDermott roads will be treated.
So, during this process, ACHD asks that you pay attention to where crews are directing you and to obey the posted speed limit.
The chip sealing is expected to be complete by September.
