Boise State football players and coaches give a special tour to hundreds of kids ahead of 'Boise Kind Day'

The kids from the Boys and Girls Club also got to spend time on The Blue and talk to some of the student-athletes about their experiences at the university.

BOISE, Idaho — Hundreds of kids from the Boys and Girls Club of Ada County were given a special tour of Boise State University's athletic facilities on Friday by head football coach Bryan Harsin.

The kids also got to spend time on The Blue and talk to some of the student-athletes about their experiences at the university and about the benefits of being physically active.

Boise State junior linebacker Riley Whimpey told KTVB that it's important to show the kids how much it means to care about to other people and to be kind.

"It's important for the kids to have heroes because it gives them something to work towards. If they see their heroes being nice, it makes them want to be nice too," he said.

The kids from the Boys and Girls Club also got autographs from their favorite players and even got the chance to tackle one of them on the new The Blue.
