Idaho Shakespeare Festival returns for its 48th season of outdoor theatre

BOISE, Idaho — Enjoy an evening under the stars at Idaho Shakespeare Festival.

Idaho’s premier professional repertory theatre company is back for another year of Shakespeare in a world-class, outdoor amphitheater beside the Boise River. The 2024 Idaho Shakespeare Festival season opens May 24 and runs through September 29. 

The 2024 season includes the following plays:

The Merry Wives of Windsor
May 24 – June 8

Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express 
June 14- July 6

Into the Woods
July 12- August 4

A Midsummer Night’s Dream
August 9-31

Always – Patsy Cline
September 6-29

Mini Concerts: Mini-concerts will take place on the Meadow Stage located alongside Shakespeare’s Marketplace most Tuesday through Saturday evenings from 6:30-7:30 PM. Food and drink protocols: Bring your own food and beverage or visit Shakespeare’s Marketplace, a newly renovated, gourmet grab-and-go extravaganza. Shakespeare’s Marketplace offers appetizers, drinks, dinners, and desserts and is open every performance evening at 5:30 pm.
