15-year-old arrested after stabbing at Boise business

A female juvenile was injured in an apparent stabbing during an attempted robbery at a business Wednesday evening, the Ada County Sheriff's Office said.

BOISE, Idaho — A 15-year-old was arrested in connection to an apparent stabbing in Boise on Wednesday evening, according to the Ada County Sheriff's Office. 

The sheriff's office on Thursday said deputies responded to a report of a stabbing at a business near West Lake Hazel Road and South Five Mile Road around 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13. 

Initial information suggested a female juvenile was stabbed in an attempted robbery, a news release said. She was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.

Deputies located the stabbing suspect after canvasing the area near the scene. The Ada County Sheriff's Office said the suspect, identified as a 15-year-old male, attempted to run and was ultimately apprehended after a "brief foot pursuit." 

The suspect was booked into the Ada County Juvenile Detention Center. He faces felony charges of attempted robbery and aggravated battery, and misdemeanor resisting and obstructing.
