BOISE, Idaho — An Ada County man was sentenced to serve up to ten years in prison after he was found guilty of possessing child pornography.
52-year-old Douglas Keith Stuhlberg was sentenced on June 28 on two felony counts of "Sexual Exploitation of a Child by Possession of Sexually Exploitative Material." He will serve a minimum of two years in prison, up to ten years, according to the Office of the Attorney General.
“These crimes against children will not go unanswered,” Attorney General Labrador said in a news release. “I’m very proud of the hard work our ICAC Unit and prosecutors have done to keep our Idaho communities safe. The sentence handed down in this case demonstrates their commitment to keeping predators and abusers away from our kids.”
The office states in October of 2023, a search warrant was issued against Stuhlberg after the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit received pings from Synchronoss Technologies. The company states that Stuhlberg uploaded child pornography to its network.
The AG's office states when police searched Stuhlbergs home and devices, they found hundreds of files of child pornography.
"Many of the files depicted minor females ranging from approximately seven to thirteen years old in various stages of undress while engaged in lascivious poses," the office stated.
After Stuhlberg serves his sentencing, he must register as a sex offender, the office said.
