AMBER Alert: Abducted 11-year-old Caldwell girl found, man in custody

Aila and Kelly Vesterby have been located in Mountain Home, and Kelly Vesterby is in custody.
Authorities say that the child may be in the company of Kelly James Vesterby, a 48-year-old white male with brown hair and hazel eyes believed to be 5'8, weighing 210 lbs.

CALDWELL — UPDATE: We learned late Wednesday that Aila and Kelly Vesterby have been located in Mountain Home and that Kelly Vesterby is in custody.

An AMBER Alert was issued for Aila Vesterby, an 11-year-old Caldwell girl, after she was abducted Wednesday night.

Caldwell police said Wednesday that Aila was last seen on 2320 Carnegie Street in Caldwell and was believed to be in danger.

Hours later, Aila and her non-custodial parent, Kelly Vesterby, were found in Mountain Home. At that point, Kelly Vesterby was taken into custody.

While searching for the pair, police described Kelly James Vesterby, as a 48-year-old white male with brown hair and hazel eyes believed to be 5'8, weighing 210 lbs.

They were believed to have been traveling in a blue/green 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV, with license plate: Idaho 3292V. The vehicle was located in Boise after the alert was issued.
