BOISE, Idaho — A Boise man is in the Ada County Jail after a two-month-long investigation into a report of sexual exploitation of a child.
The Boise Police Department said the investigation started in October 2023. During the investigation, police said evidence showed 27-year-old Nicholas Kirby had several images depicting "child sexual abuse material."
The case was sent to the Ada County Prosecutor's Office for review, and a warrant was issued for five felony counts of willfully possessing child sexually exploitative material.
Kirby was taken into custody without incident on Wednesday.
During his arrest, police said he had what is suspected to be fentanyl and drug paraphernalia. Kirby was also charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.
