BOISE, Idaho — A Boise man is in the Ada County Jail after police say he assaulted a woman and held her against her will.
Brennden Rader, 26, is charged with felony counts of aggravated assault, second-degree kidnapping, attempted strangulation, and a misdemeanor count of resisting or obstructing officers.
Around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, Boise Police officers were called to a domestic dispute at a business near Vista Avenue and Cherry Lane.
Officers spoke with a female and gathered evidence that she had been assaulted and held against her will the previous evening.
The woman told police that Rader has threatened her with a knife and would not allow her to leave the car they were in for several hours.
Police found the suspect in a parked car in a nearby alley.
He refused officers' commands to step out of the car. Believing that the suspect was armed, a K-9 officer was deployed and apprehended Rader.
He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries and then booked into the Ada County Jail.
