BOISE -- A Boise man charged with rape, first-degree kidnapping and attempted strangulation is being held in the Ada County Jail.
Vincent Patrick Moreno, 19, was arrested Monday evening.
Boise police said officers responded to a call that was initially reported as a battery that had occurred by an adult male and an adult female victim multiple times over several days in early November at a residence near the intersection of West State and North streets.
The suspect was known to the victim, police said.
Police said they located evidence that the suspect - identified as Moreno - sexually assaulted the victim, choked her and didn't allow her to leave the residence.
The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries at a local hospital.
Moreno also had a warrant for violating a no-contact order on another victim, police said.
Moreno was contacted by police, he turned himself in on Monday and he was booked into the Ada County Jail.
Moreno is also charged with violating a domestic violence protection order, a misdemeanor offense.
He is due to appear in court Tuesday afternoon. If convicted of the charges against him, Moreno could face up to life in prison.
