BOISE, Idaho — A 66-year-old man was arrested Wednesday in connection to an overnight armed robbery at a business, the Boise Police Department reported.
Police said officers responded to a business on South Vista Avenue in Boise around 2 a.m. Wednesday and learned the masked suspect likely showed an employee he had a weapon while demanding cash.
Richard Shaeffer was located less than an hour after officers secured the area of the business and created a perimeter. Boise Police said Shaeffer matched the suspect description and was later booked into the Ada County Jail.
The Meridian Police Department also arrived to the 2400 block of S. Vista Ave. with a K9 unit early Wednesday, while an unmanned aerial vehicle was launched during the initial investigation.
"BPD is providing a general location for this incident because we do not identify victims and in this case, the business that was robbed is also a victim," Wednesday's news release said.
