Police looking for suspect after robbery at Boise home

Investigators say the man forced his way into a home and took the victim's wallet.

BOISE, Idaho — Police are looking for a man who reportedly forced his way into a Boise home Thursday night and stole a wallet from the person living there.

The robbery happened at about 5:15 p.m. on the 1400 block of Liberty Street. After forcing his way into the home, the man struggled with the resident before fleeing with the victim's wallet, police said.

Investigators initially reported that the suspect was armed, but later said they don't believe a weapon was used in the robbery.

Officers searched the area, but did not find the suspect. He has been identified as 31-year-old Elijah Black. Police say Black and the victim knew each other.

The victim was treated by paramedics at the scene.

Black is described as being a light-skinned black man, approximately 6-feet tall and weighing around 200 pounds. He was wearing gray sweatpants and a gray sweatshirt.
