BOISE - A suspect in stalking and battery cases in Boise has been arrested in California, Boise police said Friday.

Scott Collinson, 33, of Fairfield, Calif., was arrested Thursday in Fairfield on charges of felony stalking and misdemeanor battery, police said, and is awaiting extradition to Idaho.

Police were contacted on April 2, 2015 about a reported battery in a business in the 600 block of North Milwaukee Street.

A woman said she was approached by an unknown man who asked her questions about her clothing and then touched her inappropriately.

On Dec. 21, 2015, police were called to a store in the area of West Franklin Road and North Milwaukee Street for a stalking report.

Two girls younger than 15 said a man unknown to them was following them, and they were concerned for their safety. The girls said the man asked questions about their clothes that were concerning.

After reviewing video surveillance and conducting interviews, police identified Collinson and connected him to both cases.

Reports were sent to Ada County prosecutors for review, and a warrant was issued on May 3 for Collinson’s arrest

Boise police officials said he was arrested without incident Thursday on the warrant and was booked into the Solano County Jail.

Boise detectives believe there may be additional victims who haven't come forward, and police ask that anyone with information about similar incidents connected to the suspect contact them through Crime Stoppers. Call 208-343-COPS(2677), leave a web tip at 343COPS.Com or use the P3! app.

Boise police thank the St. Helena Police Department, the Fairfield Police Department, and the U.S. Marshal Service Pacific Southwest Fugitive Task Force for their full cooperation with the investigation.
