EAGLE -- The Eagle Police Department is asking for the public's help in recovering a stolen elephant statue.

The bronze elephant was taken from a driveway on Fordham Drive in Eagle last weekend. It was part of a pair of elephants that decorated the driveway for nine years. The homeowners got up on July 26 to discover one of the elephants was gone. They would like it back.

The bronze elephant is about 40 inches long and and 29 inches tall, and weighs around 200 pounds. Police believe it would take at at least two people to pick it up.

Anyone with information about the stolen elephant is urged to contact Eagle Police at 938-2260.
