NAMPA, Idaho — A man from Caldwell has been arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon enhancement after police said he stabbed two people.
The Nampa Police Department (NPD), said 34-year-old Gavin Thomas Freeman was booked into the Canyon County Jail early Sunday, May 26. According to NPD, they were alerted by dispatch that two people had arrived at the hospital with stab wounds around 1:45 a.m. Police said the victims knew the suspect and that they were stabbed in the area of the 800 block of 11th Avenue North.
When police arrived, they located Freeman and he was taken into custody, charged and booked into jail.
NPD said they don't believe the public is in danger and this appears to be an isolated incident. They are also asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 208-343-COPS or email at www.343.cops.com to remain anonymous.
