BOISE, Idaho — A 14-year-old and 17-year-old were arrested in connection to multiple gang-related shooting incidents Wednesday evening, the Caldwell Police Department reported.
Police said gunshots went into a home on Berrypark Place by known members of a "criminal Hispanic street gang" around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday. Shots were also fired into a nearby vehicle.
Nobody was hit or injured in the shooting, but officers did find two additional homes had been hit by gunfire on Vista Park Drive in Caldwell.
The two teen boys were arrested after they were identified by members of the community who shared information on the incidents with investigators. Caldwell Police said a stolen gun was found during the arrest.
An additional firearm was located after detectives secured a search warrant for a residence on Middlepark Way, according to Thursday's news release. The 17-year-old is facing two counts of shooting into an occupied dwelling, possession of a stolen firearm and gang enhancements. The 14-year-old was arrested for a probation warrant.
The shooting incidents remain under investigation by the Caldwell Police Department. Anyone with additional information is asked to call 208-343-COPS or non-emergency dispatch at 208-454-7531.
