CALDWELL -- A 14-year-old who was struck by shots fired at a Caldwell home has been released from the hospital, the Canyon County Sheriff's Office says.
The victim was previously considered to be in serious condition immediately after the drive-by shooting, which targeted a home on Helen Lane at about 3:40 a.m. Wednesday.
Investigators say the drive-by was gang-related. The shooter or shooters were specifically targeting the house on Helen Lane, according to the sheriff's office, but it's not clear whether they were trying to hit the teenager or someone else.
The 14-year-old was inside the house when the shooting happened. Officials have declined to say whether the victim is a boy or a girl.
No arrests have been made, and the Canyon County Sheriff's Office has not publicly identified any suspects.
Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to call the Canyon County Sheriff's Office or Crime Stoppers at 208-343-COPS.
