JEROME, Idaho -- A former Minidoka County Sheriff's Office employee who falsified time cards while having an affair with the then-sheriff has been sentenced to two years on probation.
Fifty-four-year-old Alice "Alicia" Falcon Daniel also on Monday in 5th District Court was ordered to perform 150 hours of community service and pay a $1,000 fine.
A Minidoka County jury in February convicted Daniel of one count of felony fraudulent claims with the intent to defraud.
The Times-News in Twin Falls reports that former Sheriff Kevin Halverson last year pleaded guilty to misuse of public funds and spent three months in jail.

Judge John Butler said the county has some responsibility because Daniel was not properly supervised by the sheriff and undersheriff.
