Hit and run suspect arrested after high-speed chase in Kuna, Nampa

Kuna Police said the man was speeding over 80 miles an hour and drove into oncoming lanes.

KUNA, Idaho — A man is in jail after leading police on a high-speed chase from Kuna into Nampa where he sped over 80 miles an hour.

According to the Kuna Police Department (KPD) 40-year-old Jesse Bacorn is a suspect in a hit-and-run crash that happened on Sept. 6 around 9 p.m.  Police said they saw the truck that was alleged to be in the crash, gray Ford F150 with front end damage, around Ten Mile and Colombia Roads. 

When they tried to pull Bacon over, he sped away. Police said during the chase Bacorn also drove into oncoming lanes multiple times.

He was stopped after officers from both the KPD and the Meridian Police Department used a PIT maneuver to stop him near Locust Ln. and Happy Valley Rd. in Nampa.

He was taken to the Canyon County Jail and charged with felony driving under the influence and felony fleeing and eluding.
