NAMPA - A Kuna man was arrested on a felony DUI charge, after police say was involved in a crash that killed a motorcyclist early Sunday morning.
The crash happened at about 3:35 a.m. on Idaho Center Boulevard, just north of Interstate 84.
When officers arrived on scene, they found the motorcyclist with severe injuries. He later died a local hospital.
Investigators say Joshawa Bechtel, 31, was driving an SUV north on Idaho Center Boulevard and tried to make a left turn or a U-turn. The motorcyclist had been riding south when the vehicles collided.
Bechtel was booked into the Canyon County Jail on a felony charge of aggravated DUI.
The motorcyclist - identified by the Ada County coroner on Monday as 24-year-old Zachary S. Spoolstra of Nampa - was not wearing a helmet, police said.
