UPDATE: Kuna rollover crash victim identified by coroner

The 21-year-old died at the scene. A 22-year-old woman, also from Kuna, was taken to the hospital.

ADA COUNTY, Idaho — This is an update to the original publication made on April 30, 2023.

On Monday, the Ada County Coroner's Office identified the car crash victim from a Saturday night crash as 21-year-old Devann Horine from Kuna.

Horine died in a vehicle accident in Ada County on I-84 near milepost 45 in Meridian, Idaho State Police (ISP) reported. The accident happened Saturday, April 29, at around 8:49 p.m. 

"A Subaru Legacy, driven by a 21-year-old male from Kuna, was traveling westbound when it drove off the right shoulder, struck a tree, and rolled. The driver succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash," the original accident report stated.

According to the coroner's office, Horine's death was the result of multiple blunt force injuries obtained in the single-vehicle crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Devann Horine was the driver of the vehicle. The passenger, a 22-year-old woman, also from Kuna, was taken to the hospital. Her condition is unknown.

According to ISP, neither of the people were wearing a seatbelt. Police said the crash is under investigation.
