MIDDLETON, Idaho — A Middleton man has been arrested with multiple charges. According to the Middleton Police Department (MPD) they were dispatched to find a black pickup driving erratically in the area on Dec. 15 around 1:45 p.m.
They found the truck and said the driver, Weston Cox, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs and they searched the car. Police said they found two guns, ammunition, prescription pills and over $14,000 in cash in the truck. MPD added that Coc is on pretrial release for fentanyl, firearms and meth charges.
"Weston Cox was arrested and booked into the Canyon County Jail on Driving under the influence 2nd offense, 3 counts of felony possession of a controlled substance and 2 counts of misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance as well as possession of drug paraphernalia," MPD stated.
Police said they are also working with other agencies to review the seizure of the cash and the truck. Additionally, more charges could be added.
