NAMPA -- A Caldwell man was arrested after police say he attacked a bar patron early Saturday morning.
Brandon John Buell, 34, has been charged with felony aggravated battery.
Police say the victim was at the Monkey Business Bar on 1st Street in Nampa when he got into an argument with a friend. Others inside the bar asked the pair if they were going to fight, but they said no and left the building. The victim said Buell followed him outside and punched him several times in the face as he tried to leave with his friend.
The victim and Buell do not know each other, police say. The man who was attacked suffered a knocked-out tooth and injuries to his face.
Witnesses and the victim identified Buell as the suspect, but he told officers he wasn't involved in the fight. He was arrested after police noticed injuries to his knuckles and arm consistent with the attack.
The victim was taken to Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Nampa for treatment. Buell remains in the Canyon County Jail on a $150,000 bond. He is due to appear in court Feb. 18.
