The Ada County Coroner said 69-year-old Donald Mattocks from Boise died after being "struck by several vehicles."

BOISE, Idaho — A Boise man has died after he was run over several times. According to the Boise Police Department (BPD) the man was found on W. Overland Rd. near S. Atlantic Rd. on Nov. 1 around 9:40 p.m.

The Ada County Coroner said 69-year-old Donald Mattocks died at the scene after being "struck by multiple vehicles."

"Boise Police officers responded to a call for service from a driver in the area who reported they had run over what they believed to be an already deceased person in the roadway. Arriving officers located an adult male victim with severe fatal injuries. Upon further investigation, officers learned that several drivers saw what they believed to be an object in the roadway and were able to swerve out of the way, but some drivers were not able to," stated BPD.

Police said the preliminary evidence showed he was run over several times. Police interviewed several witnesses, and the Trauma Intervention Program of Treasure Valley (TIP) assisted.

BPD said this is an active investigation and further information will be released.
