NEW MEADOWS, Idaho — A 74-year-old New Meadows man is being held on $3 million bond after authorities say he shot and killed his son after a fight late last week.
Adams County sheriff's deputies and Idaho State Police responded to a report of a shooting at a New Meadows home Friday night.
When they arrived at the home, they found one man dead and took a suspect into custody.
The sheriff's office said on Thursday that 74-year-old Steven Walker has been charged with second-degree murder and discharge of a firearm inside a dwelling.
The man who died was identified as Walker's 50-year-old son, also named Steven Walker.
Authorities have not revealed what led to the fight and shooting.
