BOISE -- One man is in custody after police and a SWAT team swarmed a Boise neighborhood Monday afternoon.
The incident happened at Fairmeadow Drive and Courtney Drive, not far from the intersection of Fairview Avenue and Milwaukee Street.
Police say the man was wanted on an outstanding warrant. The SWAT team was called in to assist because of the suspect's history of carrying weapons, a police spokeswoman said.
The man ran away from police and led a short chase through several backyards before being taken into custody. His name and any charges have not been released.
Streets in the area were blocked off as officers investigated. Police began clearing from the incident at about 2:20 p.m.
