NAMPA, Idaho — A man was killed, and a woman taken to the hospital after they were shot early this morning in Nampa, police said it's being "investigated as a homicide."
According to the Nampa Police Department (NPD), dispatch was called several times on Feb. 10 around 1 a.m., by people that heard gunshots, in addition to calls claiming two people may have been shot. Officers responded to the 2000 block of 5th Street North and said they found a man and a woman with "apparent gunshot wounds."
Police said the man was pronounced dead at the scene and the woman was taken to the hospital, she is "expected to survive." Both victims were residents of Nampa.
NPD said they believe the shooting is gang related but do not have any information on a suspect. Police are asking anyone with information to call 208-343-COPS or go to www.343.cops.com., people can remain anonymous.
