BOISE, Idaho — A 20-year-old Nampa man was arrested after allegedly showing a gun to another driver who honked at him, the Boise Police Department reported.
Police on Thursday said officers responded to a road-rage incident on North Eagle Road near West Wainwright Drive late Tuesday morning. The victim said he honked at a driver who was speeding, changing lanes and tailgating other vehicles on the road.
The victim said the man he honked at pulled up alongside him at a stop light, leaving room ahead of his vehicle at the intersection, before grabbing a firearm. According to Boise Police, the man accused of driving recklessly then pointed the firearm at his vehicle's roof and signaled for the victim to follow him.
Police said the man drove off after the victim indicted he was on the phone with 911. Officers later located the vehicle involved using the victim's description and found the firearm.
The suspect, identified as Julian Maksout of Nampa, was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail. The 20-year-old is facing charges of felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Boise Police.
