BOISE, Idaho — The Nampa Police Department (NPD) arrested a man on charges in connection to the February 2024 murder of 21-year-old Fabion Angel Delagarza.
According to NPD, they arrested 18-year-old Gustavo Sanchez Jr. of Nampa around 5:00 p.m. on May 8 on charges stemming from the murder. Sanchez is charged with accessory to first-degree murder and destruction of evidence.
NPD states they determined Sanchez to be a suspect on Wednesday and he was later arrested.
As previously reported, Nampa Police Department (NPD), dispatch was called several times on Feb. 10 around 1 a.m., by people who heard gunshots, in addition to calls claiming two people may have been shot. Officers responded near 2000 5th Street North and said they found Delagarza and a woman with "apparent gunshot wounds."
Police said Delagarza was pronounced dead at the scene, and the woman was taken to the hospital. Both victims were residents of Nampa.
NPD said they believe the shooting is gang related but do not have any information on a suspect. Police are asking anyone with information to call 208-343-COPS or go to www.343.cops.com., people can remain anonymous.
