Nampa man located, arrested in Minidoka County for alleged stalking

The U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force located and arrested Austin Allen Genius in Rupert, Idaho. He is charged with two counts of first-degree stalking.

BOISE, Idaho — A Nampa man with an outstanding arrest warrant on stalking charges was arrested in Minidoka County on Monday, Aug. 8. 

The U.S. Marshal Service Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force announced after a search for Austin Allen Genius, he was found and arrested near 200 West Varsity Drive in Rupert, Idaho. The arrest warrant was issued on May 9, 2024, for two counts of first-degree stalking and a probation violation for another stalking incident in 2021.

Authorities said the Nampa Police Department (NPD) requested, on August 8, assistance from the U.S. Marshals Office to find Genius. He was found four days later.

The U.S. Marshal's Office said the arrest was the result of collaboration between the Minidoka County Sheriff's Office and NPD.
