Nampa police ID homicide suspect

NAMPA - Nampa police have identified a suspect in the fatal stabbing of a Nampa man on March 10.

The stabbing happened around 5 p.m., when police said two men got into an argument in front of the garage of a home on West Kinghorn Drive.

Investigators said the fight escalated, and one of the men stabbed the other in the abdomen.

Robert L. Stevens, 30, was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died.

On Wednesday evening, police said they were seeking James P. Mancuso, 32, who is believed to be with 27-year-old Ashley Ford.

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Mancuso for 2nd degree murder on Wednesday.

Police believe Mancuso is on foot in the Bonner County area, and he was seen there Wednesday evening.

Investigators found a 2009 blue Subaru Forester on Wednesday in the area. Investigators believe Mancuso and Ford had used the vehicle for several days.

Idaho State Police and the Bonner County Sheriff's Office are assisting with the search.
