NAMPA -- One man is in custody after an overnight shooting left another man wounded.
Officers received a report of a shooting in the 7000 block of East Strafford Lane at 11:24 p.m. Sunday. They arrived to find one man with a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
The suspect, 31-year-old Noel Rios, was nowhere to be found. Police launched a search for Rios, and asked the public to keep an eye out for him. The suspect was considered armed and dangerous.
Rios turned himself in to police early Monday morning. He has been charged with felony aggravated battery and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Detectives say Rios shot the victim after an argument.
Rios could face up to 15 years in prison if convicted of aggravated battery and up to five years if convicted of the weapons charge.
Police have not released the name of the shooting victim, and say his condition is currently unknown.
