Nampa woman dies after crash involving drunk driver

The Nampa Police Department said 26-year-old Brook L. Taylor died at the hospital from her injuries. A Nampa man has been charged for her death.

NAMPA, Idaho — A young woman from Nampa has died after being involved in a crash with a drunk driver. The Nampa Police Department (NPD) said 26-year-old Brook L. Taylor was taken to a hospital via ambulance but later died from her injuries.

"A young woman lost her life last night because a young man chose to drive impaired. In today's world, with so many ride options, there is no excuse for his decision to get behind the wheel," said Chief Joe Huff. "Today, Ms. Taylor's friends and family are left to face the stark reality of life without her. Hopefully, Mr. Robinson, and others seeing this press release who need a harsh reminder, will face the reality of the impacts of impaired driving. Don't drink or do drugs and drive!"

According to NPD, the crash happened on Sept. 27 around 11 p.m. at the intersection of N. Middleton Rd. and Smith Av. Two vehicles were involved, and one had hit a pole.
