CALDWELL -- No one has been charged in connection to a shooting that sent a man to the hospital earlier this week.
The incident happened at 2:46 p.m. Tuesday at a house on North Indiana Avenue in Caldwell.
Officers responding to a report of shots fired found a 34-year-old victim with a gunshot wound to his lower back.
The man remained hospitalized in stable condition Wednesday.
Police say they believe the shooter and the victim knew each other.
A "person of interest" in the case and several witnesses were questioned, but no arrests have been made, according to Caldwell Police Capt. Devin Riley.
The shooting remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact Caldwell Police at 454-7531.
