ONTARIO, Ore. — The family of the woman killed in Ontario earlier this week says she was a kind and beautiful soul who didn't deserve what happened to her.
Daniela Perez, 24, was found dead inside her car Tuesday after she was reported missing earlier in the day.
Police say a person of interest in her death, Conner Fry, died by suicide as they were preparing to place him under arrest Wednesday.
KTVB reached out to the Perez family Wednesday and they sent us a series of statements about Daniela.
"My beautiful child was a strong person, as strong as her beautiful smile," her mom said.
Daniela's sister said: "Her beautiful soul didn’t deserve anything like this. She had finally found someone that made her happy and she had her whole life planned out. She was going to be first gen. I’ve always admired her and always will."
"Dani was a kind and gentle soul," her boyfriend, Marco, told KTVB. "Her life was precious and for something like this to happen to someone so innocent is absolutely horrible."
A Gofundme page has been set up for people to donate to help with her funeral expenses.
Police continue to investigate and we will update this story as new information becomes available.
If you or someone you know is thinking of self-harm or suicide, call or text the Idaho Crisis Hotline at 988.
