BOISE, Idaho — An Oregon man was sentenced to serve up to 25 years in prison after he was found guilty of sexually abusing a 9-year-old Nampa child.

The Canyon County Prosecutors said in a news release Thursday that 67-year-old Christopher D. Brandlon must serve 10 years in prison before he is eligible for parole. Brandlon drove from Oregon in June of 2023 and sexually abused a child. After the incident, the crime was reported, and he was later arrested.

Prosecutors said the incident happened while he was on parole for a similar crime in Oregon.

Brandlon was convicted back in 2006 for trying to seduce children online, calling himself the "purveyor of pleasure, corrupter of youth," the news release stated. He then got into a relationship with an undercover FBI agent posing as a mom of a child.

The prosecutor said he flew to Atlanta to begin "cultivating the daughter" and was arrested and later sentenced to prison for 11 years and three months with 20 years supervised.

During his supervised sentence, he came to Idaho and committed the crime against the Nampa victim, the news release states.

Prosecutors said after he serves his sentencing in Idaho, Brandlon will be released back to the Oregon federal authorities on a parole violation.
