A 36-year Parma woman has been booked into the Canyon County Jail on multiple felony charges including drug trafficking after a traffic stop in Caldwell Monday night.

According to Caldwell police, Lindsey A. Martin was pulled over after someone reported a possible intoxicated driver heading into Caldwell from Interstate 84.

Martin was detained on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs. Officers searched her vehicle and found about 10 grams of heroin and drug paraphernalia, police said, and later found more than an ounce of methamphetamine concealed on her person.

Martin, who told officers she had been on her way to pick up her child, was booked into the Canyon County Jail on charges of trafficking heroin, trafficking meth, DUI (stimulant/narcotic) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

In a news release Tuesday, police applauded the person who called in the tip.

"Thanks to an observant citizen who took the time to call in an intoxicated driver, Martin was stopped and taken into custody before anyone was injured due to her erratic driving," the release said.

Martin is expected to make her first court appearance on Wednesday.
