Boise Police arrest man in connection to overnight shooting

Richard Legall was arrested Monday night and charged with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

BOISE, Idaho — Boise Police have arrested a suspect wanted in connection to an early Monday-morning shooting.

Boise resident Richard Legall, 38, was arrested Monday night and charged with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Police say the shooting happened on the 6000 block of W. Russett Street in Boise, just before 1 a.m. on Monday, March 18. 

Legall reportedly approached a car with two men in it and started yelling at them, according to Boise Police. After the driver left the car to confront him, Legall allegedly pulled out a gun and fired a single shot at the driver and fled the scene, investigators say.

No one was injured during the confrontation.

Legall is in custody at the Ada County Jail. His bond is set at $500,000.
